About Daily Downtime

Daily Downtime is a daily service that provides you with Puzzles, Trivia and Games direct your phone for free. You already knew that much. So let’s tell you a little more about DD.

Adverts
Daily Downtime is built on a business model that’s similar to TV. We provide you with free content, and the cost to you is a small advert that we show. That’s all there is to it. We’re not going to flash you with subliminal messages. We’re not going to call you (never, ever, ever going to do that). We’re not going to email you. We’re not going to post things to you (unless it’s a prize because you’ve won one of our competitions, and you ask us to).

The easiest way to consider Daily Downtime is that, just like TV, you don’t get to watch without having to sit through some adverts. If it’s any consolation (and it should be) our adverts are ridiculously short. Whilst one TV advert takes 30 seconds, ours aim to be either five seconds or two seconds long – it all rather depends on your phone.

So if you think a five second advert is too high a price to pay for free stuff every day, then Daily Downtime is not for you. But we designed this service to be user friendly, not advertiser friendly. We think we’ve hit the right balance. Do you agree?

Cost
Daily Downtime is free. Free as a bird. However, your mobile phone operator may charge you to access the internet on your phone. That depends on your network, your price plan and your phone. There are a whole stack of plans that roll internet access into your bill. We advise you to check and make sure what plan you are on, and get one that isn’t ripping you off over net access. We are also looking into any other ways we can help out if your operator does not want to play ball.
